    467 000 cruise passengers visited Ports of Stockholm

    The final cruise ship of the 2014 season, the Marco Polo, will call at Stockholm on Friday 24 October. That will mean that 265 cruise ships will have brought 467 000 passengers who have spent a total of MSEK 450 in Stockholm.

    Joint Baltic Sea collaboration between Ports of Stockholm and the Port of Tallinn

    Ports of Stockholm and the Port of Tallinn signed an important agreement to work together to improve the environment in the Baltic Sea. The two ports will jointly focus on the provision of future fuels, the management of ship-generated waste and the supply of electricity to vessels in port.

    Results in the passenger and freight business areas in 2013 have been good for Ports of Stockholm. The year has seen new records set for both cruise passenger numbers and for container handling. Ports of Stockholm is Sweden's largest passenger port and Sweden's third largest freight port.


  • Ferry passengers mean SEK 5000 million for Stockholm

    The ferry passengers who travel via Ports of Stockholm's ports fill seven full hotels in the Stockholm region, every day of the year. While they are in Stockholm they spend SEK 3000 per person, which adds up to SEK 5000 million over the year. The ferry passengers contribute 20 percent of total Stockholm tourism consumer spending in the county.

  • New record for cruise passenger numbers

    Cruise season 2013 was a huge success for Ports of Stockholm, setting a new record for passenger numbers. A total of 278 cruise ships called into Stockholm and Nynäshamn during the season. The total number of cruise passengers reached a new record of 485 000.
