In the end of January a dump bed arrived by sea to Stockholm Norvik Port. Measuring 7.5 metres in width and weighing 34 tonnes, the dump bed represents an important addition to the port’s capacity for efficient stone handling.
The dump bed will be installed on one of two new pile bridges, enabling efficient and smooth unloading of stone. The new design makes it possible to handle and load larger stones that cannot be transported by conveyor belts.
The improved unloading of stone marks a significant step in the development of the future logistics and business park at Stockholm Norvik Port.
