In November, the ship Froland arrived at the Frihamnen Port in Stockholm with 9,000 tons of road salt. Stockholm's inner city quays are important complements to the large freight ports.
The ship came from Zarzis in Tunisia and went directly to the Frihamnen Port in Stockholm. The cargo will be used to keep streets and sidewalks safe and strengthen the infrastructure in the Greater Stockholm region.
The central inner city quays are important complements to the large freight ports Stockholm Norvik Port, Port of Nynäshamn and Port of Kapellskär. Together, the ports enable climate-smart and efficient transport throughout the region.
Transporting goods by sea all the way to the final destination brings great benefits. It relieves the road network, reduces environmental impact and is also cost-effective.
